…….So the Birth of the Kranji Countryside
Association. January 2005
– Ten “Farmpreneurs” took the
exciting lead to set up the Association to provide
Singapore’s farmers, nature lovers, conservationists
and persons with related interests with an Association
to promote awareness and an appreciation of Singapore’s
countryside and natural environment.
Besides offering an alternative venue
for recreational and educational purposes both
for locals and visitors, the KCA is aggressively
interested to help Singapore farmers to increase
production of some of our own high quality food
especially eggs, fish, milk, fruits and vegetables.
The Association is also very keen
in ensuring that every child in Singapore is brought
up to appreciate and treasure our precious natural
environment.
Our members are therefore dedicated
to offer you an inspiring opportunity to learn
about gardening, farming, animals, insects and
the environment so that the love for nature will
create the wonderment for our children, and a
sense of ownership of our beloved Countryside! |
